Data Mining in the Vault

Attendees will learn how and where to apply data mining in the Data Vault 2.0 architecture. Michael will introduce the available options and best practices. He will demonstrate some algorithms using real-life examples and tools, including neural networks, Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Apriori, stored using same-as-links, exploration links, computed satellites, and other Data Vault 2.0 entity types.

  • Understand how and where to apply data mining in Data Vault 2.0
  • How to source raw data from the data warehouse into data mining tools
  • How to create Data Vault 2.0 entities for intermediate storage
  • How to use results from data mining when providing dimensional models
