Data Engineer
Tyler Brezler has spent over 20 years working in higher education, in roles ranging from lab management, to research grants and contracts administration, to business intelligence. Tyler currently works a Data Engineer for the Office of the Vice President for Finance at MIT, where he has overseen the development of MIT’s first Data Vault. Tyler’s Data Vault journey began with reading Building a Scalable Data Warehouse with Data Vault 2.0 in 2021, and then completion of the Data Vault 2.0 Practioner course in 2022. His experience thus far consists of building a small scale model for use with a strategic sourcing project, incorporating data from several ERP systems, data enrichment services, and local flat files. His ambition is to one day code the entire Data Vault ETL pipeline from scratch.
